Let’s be honest. Most cruise passengers will never see how the “other half” live on a cruise ship. The vast majority of us sail in an interior or oceanview or balcony cabin and have a fine time on the ship.
These rooms are cozy (almost always less than 200 square feet), decently appointed and have everything we need for a week on a cruise ship.
But what if you’re used to the finer things in life and a regular cruise cabin won’t do?
Cruise lines are happy to help. To appeal to the high-end crowd and earn a nice stream of revenue themselves, cruise lines are building ships with luxury rooms that would rival anything you’d see on land.
From features like multiple bedrooms (a rarity on cruise ships) to private hot tubs to stunning views and even a jacuzzi in bathroom, here are some of the jaw-dropping features that most people don’t get to see on their cruise….
Immaculate Bathroom with Double Faucets and Tub

This suite on a Celebrity ship features a bathroom that “just” a little larger than what you typically find. Here, the extra wide single sink features his/hers faucets, there’s a complete water closet, and a bathtub with separate shower area around the corner.
An Immaculate View No One Else on the Ship Gets

Imagine waking up each morning with this view out of the ship. The bed faces a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows (with a separate seating area and makeup station) that gives you a view rivaling only the captain on the ship.
Your Own Exercise Bike in the Cabin?!

While most passengers have to go to a gym if they want a workout, those fortunate enough to book this suite have access to their own exercise bike to hop on any time they want. And to recover, there is a private hot tub on the balcony just on the other side of the window.
A Massive Balcony with Daybed and Hot Tub

Most cabin balconies on a cruise ship feature a small balcony that’s just large enough for a couple of chairs and a table. This one? It has a hot tub, daybed and multiple seating areas.
A Private Three-Person Jacuzzi… in the Cabin

A bathroom with a bathtub is luxurious on a cruise ship. What about one with its own jacuzzi? This one is large enough to hold multiple people and has jets to hit just about anywhere.
Two-Story Wall-to-Ceiling Windows in the Bedroom

Room with a view? That’s what high-end passengers would expect. This room delivers with two-story floor-to-ceiling windows to give you a sweeping view of everything.
An Open Vanity/Bath Concept with Views to the Ocean

How about a bathroom that looks out over the bedroom and to the outside in this two-story suite? Here, you can lounge in the tub and still see outside or get ready in the morning while taking in the ocean.
Your Own Piano to Play While at Sea

What if you are taking a cruise but really have the urge to play piano? In this case, you’re covered. This cabin features its own piano that you can play on a whim and even its own library if you decide to catch up on your reading.
Double Sinks, Bidet, Tub, and Shower (And a Lot More Space)

Having his and hers sinks is actually pretty common in many new ships, but this bathroom comes with those, plus a bidet, shower, and tub. Considering that most cabins have only a standing shower where you can barely turn around, this is a massive upgrade.
180-Degree Wraparound Views in the Bedroom

How about a bedroom that has a complete wrap-around window? This Royal Caribbean cabin is right above the ship’s bridge, and it actually juts out from the side of the ship. That means from horizon to horizon you have an uninterrupted view.
A Private Pool for Suite Guests Only

The Haven on NCL is a “resort within a resort” meaning it’s a private area just for passengers staying in these high-end rooms. One amenity on this ship in The Haven is this private indoor pool. So if you don’t want the crowds and the hive of activity at the pool deck, you can visit this spot instead.
Extra Large Bed With Complete Living Room

A typical cabin measures about 180 square feet. This suite is considerably larger, complete with its own living room seating area next to the big screen TV and an ultra-large bed. It would be hard not to be comfortable staying here.
