25+ Fort Lauderdale Hotels With Cruise Shuttles to the Port

Need a hotel shuttle to the Fort Lauderdale cruise port? What about a ride from the airport to the hotel? Then you’re in luck. Many hotels offer cruise terminal and airport rides in Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale & Port Everglades hotels with shuttles

While Miami usually gets all the headlines as the cruise capital of the world, nearby Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale is just as busy a port. Each year literally millions of passengers embark from the port, with cruises sailing everywhere from the Caribbean to Europe.

In addition to being a cruise mecca, Fort Lauderdale is also a popular tourist destination. That means there is a thriving industry around catering to tourists. Case in point: hotels. The area has hundreds of options for you to stay at every price point.

And since competition is fierce among hotels near the port, they often go out of their way to offer perks to customers. For cruisers, that often includes shuttle service to Port Everglades, meaning that you don’t have to worry about transportation to the cruise ship. In addition, most offer shuttles from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport as well if you are flying into the city to cruise.

The Importance of Staying Near the Cruise Port

In Fort Lauderdale, you have any number of hotel options. We recommend selecting one that’s near the port. South Florida is legendary for having bad traffic. In fact, it’s not uncommon for a ride of 2-3 miles to take 15 minutes or more. By selecting a hotel near the cruise terminals, you can ensure that you have plenty of time to board the ship.

Below, we’ve listed a number of hotels that offer shuttle service to the port on cruise day and are near the port. While this is a good starting point, there will be other hotels in the area with shuttle service. If you don’t see a hotel you’re interested in below, simply call the hotel you want to stay and ask if they offer service to the port.

  1. this is outdated. The Ramada is permanently closed and the Rodeway requires you to book a package with airport and cruise shuttles for an extra $50+

  2. Thank you for the article! It was great!I have many clients including myself that where looking for this information in FLL.

  3. My husband and I have booked an 11-day cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in August. Your advice to find a hotel that will be close to our cruise port because the traffic can cause a 2-mile ride to last 15 minutes is very helpful. I think I would rather find a quality hotel first, then find a shuttle that travels between that hotel and our cruise port.
