If you’re searching for a Miami Beach or South Beach hotel with free parking, then you’re no doubt looking pretty hard. The truth is that this area of the beach is one of the most-developed spots in all of Florida. That means there are lots of hotels, lots of restaurants, lots of people… and little parking.
It’s not unusual to see parking rates at many hotels as high as $40 per night. That means a simple three-night stay costs you an extra $120 just in parking fees alone. Needless to say, if you can avoid those parking fees, then you can save a considerable chunk of cash.
The problem is that very few hotels in Miami Beach and the South Beach area offer free parking. In fact, after hours of searching, we found only a handful.
That’s why we highly suggest using alternate transportation if you plan to stay in the area. Not only is it cheaper not having to park, but you also don’t have to worry about the stress of driving around a highly populated area.
Of course, that’s not an option for everyone. For those that absolutely have to drive, there are a number of hotels in the Miami region that will offer plenty of parking… they just aren’t at the highly desirable oceanfront.
In fact, if you have to drive into the area and want free parking while staying at a hotel in the Miami Beach area, then we found a few choices for you to check out. This shouldn’t be considered an exhaustive list (although we checked dozens of hotels), but it should give you an idea of some options available.
Before you book we suggest giving the hotel a call to ensure that free parking is still available. Given the lucrative fees other hotels are charging, it can be tempting for some places to start charging for the perk.

South Beach/Miami Beach Hotels with Free Parking
Technically this isn’t a hotel but a group of vacation rental apartments in a more residential part of South Beach. You’re still just a few blocks’ walk from the beach and famous Ocean Drive. Here you have the option of renting a single, a studio, or a suite depending on your needs. As an added plus, each unit has an assigned a parking space.
Seaside Apartment Hotel
This hotel sits in North Beach, just a block from the water. It offers studio and one-bedroom suites, complete with a kitchen area and washer/dryer combo. It’s also within walking distance of a ton of restaurants and shops. Seaside offers limited on-site parking at no charge, although they strongly suggest not bringing a car.
Beach Place Miami
Located in North Beach, Beach Place is a classic “old Florida” style hotel. It features two stories that wrap around a swimming pool. It’s not the Four Seasons, but still gets strong reviews — especially for a budget hotel. Across the street is a large oceanfront park, that stretches for blocks down the beach. Best of all, Beach Place proudly boasts its one of the few Miami Beach hotels to offer guests free parking.
International Inn on the Bay
While still in Miami Beach, this hotel is actually on the waterfront on the bay side, which looks out over Miami proper. It’s an older hotel, but has great views of the water. The International Inn offers a ton of freebies, including pool and game room, local calls and of course, free parking for guests who stay at the hotel.
Bars B&B South Beach
Yes, this bed and breakfast is a few blocks from the beach (it will take you about 10 minutes to walk there), but it’s in the heart of South Beach and in a more residential area of the island. So you are near the action, but not so close that it will keep you awake all night. The style is hip and modern and a stay includes free breakfast and free parking.
A funky and eclectic hotel, don’t expect a stuffy Ritz-Carlton vibe here. Instead, the colors are bright and colorful and it’s a perfect place for someone looking for a unique, independent hotel. It’s just a short walk from the convention center and about two blocks from the beach. As for parking, they offer about 20-25 spots on a first-come, first-served basis. During busy times you might not be able to find a spot.
M Boutique Hotel
A smaller boutique hotel, the M offers apartment-style rooms that have kitchens (including a fridge, microwave and convection oven), making it perfect for those who want to save some cash on eating out. The location is a few blocks from the beach and an even shorter walk to the Publix grocery store. If you have a car, the website says there complimentary self-parking, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
