Cruise Lines Schedule Changes Due to Hurricane Irma

In a case of deja vu, another hurricane is bearing down on the United States and Caribbean ports, causing a flurry of changes to cruise schedules.

Right now Hurricane Irma is making a beeline for the southern tip of Florida, and is then expected to turn sharply, heading north over the state. Impacted ports include Miami, Port Everglades, Tampa, Port Canaveral, and Jacksonville.

There is still hope that the track will shift east and spare the mainland of Florida, however, popular ports are almost certain to be hit (or have already). This includes San Juan, Nassau, Freeport, as well as private ports like Royal Caribbean’s CocoCay.

Already many cruise lines have cancelled or adjusted cruises. Still others will see changes as the storm approaches. If you are sailing from a port or to a port that’s anywhere near the track of Hurricane Irma, expect a change in itinerary, even if not listed below.
