12+ Easy Cape Liberty “Park & Cruise” Hotels

One of the best deals in cruising from Cape Liberty is booking a park and cruise hotel before your sailing.

Consider this: The Cape Liberty cruise port has on-site parking but it costs a healthy $22 per day. Take a 7-day cruise and you’ll be paying $154 to leave your car.

The good news? If you are driving into Cape Liberty, you don’t have to pay those high parking rates. Instead, park and cruise hotels can help you save money.

How Park & Cruise Packages Work

The premise is simple. In return for a night’s stay, many hotels near cruise ports will give you a package deal that includes parking. Packages are almost always more expensive than a regular room, but much cheaper than parking at the port.

For instance, a Cape Liberty hotel with a cruise parking deal might be $125 for a regular night, but $150 if you book the parking package. That extra $25 is almost nothing compared to the cost of parking at the port.

Given Cape Liberty’s proximity to Newark-Liberty International Airport, there are a number of hotels that cater to flyers with parking deals made with those headed to the airport in mind. However, these hotels are also the closest to Cape Liberty. So you can book the same package and simply head to the cruise port.

One thing to note is that most hotels don’t provide transportation to the cruise ships. It will be on you to get back and forth. The good news is that services like Uber and Lyft can get you there for only $10-15 each way.
