Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2018 Cruise Deals

Thinking of a Black Friday or Cyber Monday deal that’s something better than new electronics? These days everyone gets in on the shopping hype after Thanksgiving, including the cruise lines. So while everyone else is waiting out in the cold for the stores to open up, you can be saving a bundle on a trip to the warm Caribbean from the comfort of your home.

To be completely honest, the Black Friday cruise deals can be hit or miss. Some cruise lines pull out all the stops and offer some incredible deals that make it worth booking immediately. Others offer little discounts or sales that are similar to what’s regularly offered.

Below, we’ve rounded up all the deals we could find for the major cruise lines…

Norwegian Cruise Lines (Updated 2018 Offer)

Norwegian offers one of the top Black Friday deal we’ve found. Book by the end of day on Monday and you’ll be able to get their “Free at Sea” deal. The offer includes up to six different offers depending on which level cabin you book. You can have your choice of:

  1. Free Unlimited Open Bar
  2. Specialty Dining Package (Free specialty restaurants)
  3. Free Wi-Fi (250-Minute Internet Package)
  4. Up to $50 USD Per Port Shore Excursions
  5. 3rd & 4th Guest Free
  6. Free Roundtrip Airfare for Select Cruises

Now for the fine print — the offer is eligible across any cabin, but the higher level you select, the more free options you can choose. Studio and inside rooms can select one free offer. Oceanview, balcony, and mini-suites can choose three offers. Concierge, suites, and The Haven cabins can select all six offers.

And on that drink package you’ll still have to pay gratuity of 20% on the value of the drink package, which comes out to $19.80 per person, per day (that’s still all you can drink for about $20 per person). You’ll also have to pay 20% gratuity on the dining package, which comes out to $5 per person, per meal.

Carnival Cruise Lines (Updated 2018 Offer)

Carnival has announced a Cyber Monday Early Saver Sale that can be found here. Among the savings in this deal are:

  • Up to $50 in onboard credit
  • $50 reduced deposits
  • Bonus $100 onboard credit on select sailings
  • Free Price Protection

To be honest, this deal isn’t that special compared to other sales that Carnival has offered, so if you don’t find the perfect deal on the cruise you want, then don’t worry. There’s a good chance something similar might be coming your way. That said, with free price protection, there is no risk in booking now. If the price drops later, you’ll be compensated for the difference.

Royal Caribbean (Updated 2018 Offer)

The last of the major cruise lines to announce a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, Royal Caribbean is offering a special that’s actually similar to what was offered prior to the big day.

The cruise line is offering 60% off of a second guest and up to $300 in instant savings. How much you save depends on the cruise you book. On sailings of five nights or less, you’ll save $50 for interior and oceanview cabins, $75 for balconies and $125 for suites. On sailings six nights or longer, you’ll save $75 savings for interior and oceanview, $200 for balconies and $300 for suites.

MSC Cruises (Updated 2018 Offer)

MSC isn’t as big as some of its rivals, but it is doing Black Friday in a big way. Right now the cruise line has two offers, with a “sweetener” on both.

First, it is offering its “Drinks on Us” promotion. Book a 7+ night cruise on MSC Seaside, Divina or Meraviglia (starting at $728 per person in a balcony stateroom) and you’ll receive unlimited drinks on your cruise. In addition, book this sale and you’ll also get an additional $100 shipboard credit (paid as $50 per person).

In addition, there is a 2-for-1 promotion (50% off of normal rates) for Cuban cruises of 6+ nights on MSC Armonia. In this case not only do you get the discount, but it’s sweetened with a $100 credit per stateroom as well during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale.

The offer expires November 27, 2018.

Princess Cruises (Updated 2018 Offer)

Princess is offering some good specials for the shopping season. It starts with $1 deposits on Cyber Monday. From there, the offers breakdown into two categories: those trips sailing between now and Spring 2019 and those departing between Summer 2019 and Spring 2020.

Right now the cruise line’s “Cyber Event” is offering savings of up to $900 per stateroom on select sailings for Winter 2018 to Spring 2019. As well, there is an offer for $279 fares for the third and fourth passengers on some cruises.

If you plan to sail later, then the sale is for three free perks. Sail between Summer 2019 and Spring 2020 and everyone in the staterooms will get:

  • Free stateroom location upgrade
  • Free gratuities (valued at up to $15.50 per guest, per day)
  • Free onboard spending money (valued at up to $200 per guest, for all guests)

This deal ends December 3, 2018.

Celebrity Cruises (Updated 2018 Offer)

Celebrity is offering a “perk”-based Black Friday and Cyber Monday, sale plus $25 deposits. In this case, there are four perks for you to choose from when you book through the sale:

  • Free Classic Beverage Package
  • Unlimited wi-fi
  • Prepaid Tips
  • $150 per person onboard credit

The number of perks you receive depends on the class of room you book. Inside rooms receive no perks, while booking an oceanview or veranda suite receive the choice of one perk. As well, booking a “Concierge” or “AquaClass” cabin also gives you one perk. Those booking suites (which excludes the $25 deposit) get all four of the perks listed above.

  1. The Carnival offer 00Y is not valid! It only applies to quest that were sent the offer. They were selected randomly to a few past cruisers.
