There is good news and bad news about sailing from Port Canaveral. The bad news? The port is pretty far from major airports like Orlando. It’s about a 45-minute drive. That means if you’re flying in for your cruise, you’ll need to find transportation to the actual terminal.
The good news? Port Canaveral is a destination all in of itself. From casino boats to the Kennedy Space Center to Cocoa Beach, there’s a lot to do right by the port. And with so many tourist hotspots, that means there are plenty of accommodations. Literally dozens of hotels (not to mention condominiums) line the area, giving you a number of options for lodging.
Below, we’ve rounded up a list of many of the popular hotels in the area. All are within a few miles of the cruise port — no more than a 15-minute drive. If you are staying in Port Canaveral for a cruise, you should know that many hotels offer shuttles to the port as a perk for guests.
